Child Care

This basic course in child care is tailored to the holistic care and development of children (physically, socially, cognitively, emotionally, spiritually, and aesthetically).  This course prepares the caregiver (parents included) to gain an understanding that will help children to develop to their fullest potential, helps carers to understand what is best for them, what is likely to put them at risk, and provides an optimal environment for them, even those with severe physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges, and reap the benefits of watching them flourish and grow.

Upon completion of this course, trainees will be able to work in private homes, as an assistant in daycare centres, nurseries, kindergartens, and children’s homes.

Day Session: 8:30 AM – 12:00 Midday

Evening Session: 5:30 PM – 7:30 PM

Duration: 4 weeks

• 2 passport-sized photographs
• Tax registration number (TRN)
• Copy of birth certificate
• Copy of marriage certificate (where applicable)
• Copy(ies) of qualification certificate(s): CSEC, JSC, C&G, course certificates
